I see that it is a little while ago since the last post. However, I must say I never really had a problem with the CAD-2-GIS. My problem is the other way around actually.

I work at a survey company which mostly works for a construction firm. Most of our input data is CAD. I use GIS because some sponsors want as-built data in that format. Also we often get shapefiles and people want to have it in CAD and come to me to translate it.

My biggest problems are creating blocks from GIS and getting text object right in CAD. Can anybody help me with this?

I have FME and some people work with AutoCAD Civil 3D which makes it possible to do the exchange, but I want to do it from ArcGIS.

Lars
